what if,

you wake up in the morning,

look out the window,

and see a different scenery?

Just last month I watched a movie called inception.
And there is a quote which I like a lot it is "Do you dare take a leap of faith?".

These few days I realize I have been asking myself that a lot.
Should I jump? knowing that nothing and no one is going to catch me.
Knowing that there I'm not going to land on a big spongy cushion like i hope i will?
Is it worth it to risk my feelings and time for something that is practically impossible?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am hanging from a cliff,
I am holding on to a thread.
The tread is what i call hope,
Hope is what keeps me holding on.
But it is making me weary,
And i am getting sick.
Maybe if i let go,
I can find my solace.

Children In The Darkness

CHILDREN IN THE DARKNESS

This poem depicts the children during war. It is written in third person point and not first person because a child cannot comprehend what is happening around them. The poem is written four lines per stanza and is consistent in its pattern.

The first stanza implies that the evil people will manipulate some of the unfortunate children, probably from afghanistan, and teach them to kill and fight. This is evident from "Who someone will teach to fight".

The second stanza gives imagery of a door, where the key is lost. that means that the children will have no freedom, and will be bounded by the chains of war. "Chalk and blackboard" represent education. Education the children should be having, but instead they are fighting in the darkness. That is a form of irony, in a sense that they are fighting, when education teaches "no violence".

In the third stanza, the persona asks a series of questions. This gives the impression the persona is confused. "Could we light a candle, could we give them half a chance", this question sets the reader thinking. The children cannot turn back, even if a chance is given. They cannot change their perception that killing is normal. "could we teach them to read, could we teach them to dance?", they are only obsessed with killing, they cannot step out of the darkness.

In the fourth stanza the persona is resigned. "Or could the war consume them", this implies that they cannot step out in the craze of the war. "An endless thirsty hole", this is a metophor to the war times, it is an endless thirsty hole because it makes man lose their humanity, and just kill.

The last stanza shows the fates of these children; Beaten, consumed, controlled, by war.

Who will I be friends with?

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 10:42 PM

I would be friends with Atticus Finch as he has a strong moral upbringing. He is also a lawyer which can bring me many advantages such as learning constructive speaking and debating from him. As he is wise and decisive, he is definitely the best person to approach when in doubt. The way he educates Jem and Scout insinuates that he is very down-to-earth. Yet, he is not overly strict as he does not reprimand them for things that others may see as outrages. Therefore he is in a way liberal and does not see things from a narrow perspective. As he is broad minded, he will be able to take all the insulting jokes and taunts I will spray at him. Also, being a lawyer, he will be fairly rich and will be able to support me financially if necessary.

Dear Diary,
I think I failed my math test.
The questions were so hard I couldn't do half.
And my roommate is a savage BEAST!
So me, him, and another friend were like hanging around after dinner...
Then they saw this notice board with the Boarding School's council members on it.
And one of the photo had a girl with big boobs in it...
Him being the dumbass he is went to stick thumbtacks on her boobs.
Just so happened the girl and her BOYFRIEND WALKED OUT OF THE TOILET.
I don't know what he was doing in the female toilet.
THEN SHE SAW WTFXZ.
And i was sniggering at it so she glared at me... i think she thought i did it.
Then we just ran away ... -.-
