The World is brighter in the night time.

Dear Diary,

You know those times when you feel you can't stay at home? and you have to go out.
It's like the world is shrinking around you and you're gonna get squashed.
You find an escape route.
So somehow i managed to get to Orchard Road.

There were a lot of people there.. mostly couples.
So I was walking aimlessly down Ion and went up Patterson Link up to the stretch along Ion and Ngee Ann.
It was more crowded than I had expected which was good,
When you're down and sad you always want to see people around you.
I was feeling very hollow like an empty bottle.
So I walked down the road and heard music playing from a live band.
"I Gotta Feeling... That tonight's gonna be a good night... tonight's gonna be a good good night.."

hahaha I laughed of the irony.
The night time was like effervescent of euphoria with a tinge of derange.
I did not know Singapore was like this in the night.
Bright lights and music playing.
All so surreal...
I feel like I have discovered a new utopia.

There is a fountain before Ngee Ann and there were people lying there looking at the sky.
I was tired so I bought my Nescafe and proceeded to gaze at the stars with them.
I digressed and looked at the clouds instead,
They were so free and i was envious.
Clouds had the illusive freedom I had never grasped.
I lay there for awhile and move on.

I started walking deeper in and i reached Somerset. It was about 1AM then.
I then noticed that most people on the streets were not Singaporean but Malay or Indian.
It was not as pretty as Ngee Ann but still passable i guess.
I saw many whores down there.
After awhile i decided i was tired and went to take the MRT.

Unfortunately the MRT terminated of service and i took 162.
I alighted at macritchie reservoir and started making my way home.
I walked all the way from Macritchie to Yio Chu Kang;
There were no buses left.

On my way back i found myself thinking about a lot of things.
Like how i should start this post.

The whole night time experience was very galvanizing.
You see things differently in the night time.
Like when you look into a kaleidoscope for awhile and when you stop looking
you feel like your room looks different from before.

Conclusion: The World is brighter in the night time.
